Sculpey Premo Oven Bake Clay on Copper Wire

This skeleton is made from clay and an armature of thin copper wire. I aimed to make the bones anatomically correct, going into great detail on the hand and feet. While I tried to make the bones realistic, I also distorted the proportions of a normal skeleton and included a damaged rib cage. The skeleton’s head, hands, and feet are much larger compared to the other bones, which are thin and small. The spine has several extra vertebrae, though this is compensated by the joints made from hooks and loops. Ribs on his right side are broken and missing in places, adding a mystery to the character. I enjoyed the design and modeling process, and I plan to work with clay in the future.
