Constructivism Movie Poster

First poster

Improved poster

These posters for the movie “The Jungle” were made using constructivism.

The first poster used red, yellow, black, and white- colors signature to the style. Simple shapes are used for the meat packing plant and the ovals (meant to represent the pigs to slaughter as well as the workers). The fists, which are also a trademark of the style.

The second poster retains the use of red, black, and white, but the yellow is replaced with tan. The starburst was added as the background and the ovals were deleted. The plant is moved to the center and the fists are now coming from the plant itself. The poster is also given a vintage, Soviet Union feeling with use of a grainy film overlay. I also added movie credits to the bottom to give more of a movie poster aesthetic.
