Transparencies Applied to Abstract Interpretations

project 3

Photosop, 2015

I’ve made a banner using photographs and abstractions of them. The text is framed by the images, artwork, and diagonal lines, drawing the viewer’s eye. The transparency used in the diagonal lines and the background image add depth to the image. Balance is achieved through the lines as well, along with circular images and the complementary colors on opposite ends of the image. The pixelated dots within the diagonal lines and the abstractions of the trees give the image movement and energy. The image overall is unified through the simple colors and shapes that were used in the abstractions originally.
